Funding Advice: Route for masters required applying for a pgdip first.
L

Hi guys! I'm new to the forum, and have lurked around for a similar situation but can't quite find the answer.
I am considering a masters at Bangor university in Mindfulness based approaches, but the path I want to take (to also receive an accredited teaching qualification to be a mindfulness teacher) requires that I take the route of applying for the pgdip first, then upgrading it to then masters at a later date.

This seems to mean, although I am going to have an MA at the end of it, I won't be eligible for government funding. It also takes 5 years part time instead of the maximum of 4. Does this sound like it's the case? I would never be able to afford to self fund, and if I cannot get any funding I wont be able to continue my studies.

Any advice you have would be amazing. Let me know if I need to clarify anything, I've written this from my phone!
