lol gymnastics!! I might have to re-arrange my schedule ;-)
To be honest, I haven't been following the games at all simply because I know myself and I'd just spend the next 10 days or so in front of the tv:-(
Batfink, I'd take them contacting you as a positive as well. Go for it and good luck!!
I have to much to do. off to look at my lit review now.
Hi Labpixie, I've had lots of these (and still do!) but find that breaking down tasks as Batfink suggested really helps so that even though I'm not doing as much as I'd like, at least work is still moving forward.
Batfink, try not to feel guilty, we all have times like that;-)
Hi Sneaks, nice to 'see you'. Hope all is well your end!
I'm still plodding along with my reading, it's moving forward though so that's good news but I haven't touched my paper and I really need to so I'm going to be quite strict with myself and allocate 4 tomatoes for reading, 2 for looking into my lit review and any others to look at my paper.
Hope you all have a productive day8-)
Pam, I know that everyone says leave plenty of time for binding but you may not need that much time. Mine only took half an hour (?) because they weren't too busy. It's uni's summer hols so they may not be busy. Try to give them a call and let them know the situation. I find they're usually more than willing to help:-)
I'm ok, thanks Button. Don't beat yourself up! Sometimes we need to do the easier bits first, it gives our brain a break whilst still working on the thesis.
Not the most productive day for me again but I've managed to do start doing some reading I've been avoiding so I'm chuffed about that.
Admin has been done, reading in progress. I've decided to leave the intro for tomorrow as doing quite well with the reading even though I was so tired in the afternoon I had to take a long nap:$ the joys of pregnancy! I'm going to tackle another couple of bits now and then call it a day.
See you all tomorrow!
Hello!
Welcome Noctu! Yes, I think the original idea was to post A goal for the day and come back later on with an update. But these days, I think people just post whatever they have planned for that day rather than sticking to just one thing...
Friday was not the most productive day ever here either. I managed to get a few things done though so the day wasn't a completely waste of time. Hubby is away this week so I'm going to pull a few long days if I can, it's been too long since I've done this full-time lol
I have a few bits of admin to sort out (I'm off to do them now) and some reading as well. Also need to finish the intro for my paper which I haven't done yet but this will be in the afternoon.
Have a good day!
Having printed a home myself, I don't recommend it unless you have a laser printer that you can load 300 pages and leave it there whilst you get on with your life.
From my experience, using an inkjet printer that loads up to 50 sheets, I'd probably say about 2-3 hours for 300 pages? I'd probably stick around as well just in case.
Hi Swetchha
I can't say I had the same problem as my drafts always came back red, even though I've always amended to their specs. It is very frustrating but like others said, you need to prioritise so that you can still deliver a good piece of work on time. You need to give yourself time to edit, etc as well so just see what they want you to change, do as much as you can but make sure you have enough time to proofread, bind, etc
Good luck!
I think at you learn more about the topic over time, things become a little easier as you can piece things together more easily I found, but remember that you're not supposed to have read everything there's to read on that topic. That would take years alone! You just need to know a lot about it ;-)
Morning!
I didn't get much done yesterday after all but need to make up for it today as I need to email sups with some thoughts around revisions required so I'll just concentrate on this. I'm hoping it'll only take 2/3 hours but we'll see. I'm not very good at estimating how long things take. I'll come back later.
Hope you all have a productive day!
