Thanks for the story Barnaby, almost like being there. Very well done again.
Could I ask about your literature review, did they query who you'd included, excluded etc ? did they challenge your presentation of others' work ? I only ask because I'm currently looking at my literature review before ( hopefully) submitting in a few weeks - sup timing permitting - and I feel my literature review is the least "interesting" bit of my thesis.
I wonder if you should feel like that ? I think my bit is much more interesting ( :p )
What do you guys think ? Did you / do you feel like that ? Chuff
can't beat your minus -1700 W but i bet it looks better now.
I've cut a fair amount from my lit review (I'm not counting) and painful though it is to see .. boy it reads better. Although, I hold onto the right to take this all back when my lit review is down to one sentence and a figure :-)
Right back to it... Chop chop. Chuff
Don't know where you are located but could you google it? Get some references and check them out.
Although, appreciating personal recommendations are best, maybe ask at your college there may be a local service.
Alternatively, bribing friends / family seems to be the most common method.

Am I allowed to answer myself ;-) can i give myself a star
the time spent posting release the creative thoughts... i've come up with ...
The X method should
Research is needed to
It is suggested that attention be given to
Consideration should be applied
Further work would be constructive
I know there's still two shoulds but better than five (turkey)

I acknowledge up front that this "should" receive the prize for most boring thread but i've sat here going "mmm"... "umm.." and just can't think.. so here i am.
I'm writing up my future research section and I have the lead out sentence as '.. there are a number of areas that would benefit from future research' then i have a series of bullet points. Each bullet point has:
- this "should" be explored
- that "should" be examined
I don't want to say ought and i don't want to say might.. i want to be firm, but fair, any suggestions please ?
Thanks Chuff
Hi Emmaki.
I have done, although i'm sure not quite sure how you'd describe it, its a sort of mindmap type picture which was created in NVivo. I think its saved as a pdf type picture file. ( IT is not my thing !)
I've included it as an appendix.. all colourful and speaks volumes. I think its great.
Hope someone with some IT know-how appears shortly. Chuff
Running the considerable risk of being offensive.. but this post made me laugh out loud.. so thanks for that.
Questions 3 to 5 seem to require the use of a crystal ball. Are they part of the equation at all ?
I think the common term used is "remember shares can go up as well as down" ;-)
No offence meant, hope none taken ( I too have had a very trying day)
