What a shame and big loss to the world of music and entertainment. He was only 50 and died of a heart attack - almost surreal.

Very talented, very entertaining, and sad that he died, especially at such a young age.

Hope the wishes of his family are respected.

Could the news vultures at least afford some dignity? Sure, its news but do they have to have helicopters hoovering over ambulances?

Not a fan of his music as there was way better musicians who deserved more respect and recognition (Rory Gallagher, Layne Stayley, Cliff Burton, Stevie Ray Vaughan) but in fairness, he deserves some notion of respect.

Personally, I think something akin to "Bubba Ho Tepp" has happened!

It's very sad.

I was watching the news coverage on CNN last night - it was so intrusive (footage of the ambulance etc).

I have to say I just hope that his children (a) are left alone by the media and that (b) there is some money left to take care of them....

I was shocked when I hears it. I can't say that I didn't expect it.
When I was in my early teens I spent a lot of months trying to copy his dance!!!
It is sad when people leave so early and when they have things to give
