Article Revisions

I have received the first article I have submitted back with reviewer comments for major revisions. I am working on the revisions but have a query. The reviewer has written e.g. Line 230 ff, and gave me the comment. I am assuming that this refers to the upcoming section (this is generally the first line of a section). What does the ff stand for? I know it is not important and I am trying to procrastinate (rubbish timing for sending the reviews back...have submitted 6 months ago and received paper on my first day back home for Christmas holidays with a 1 month deadline for corrections oh well), but I am now curious. Thanks

ff can mean "following lines or pages", so I would assume they have commented about something relevant to line 230 onwards. Hope you get chance to enjoy Christmas despite the deadline!(tree)
