I really getting no where with a problem I've been having in inserting citations using CWYW. I'm using vista and endnote X2 version. A solution please?
-When I insert some citations (Smith & Jones, 1990), it comes up in the document as (A.B.Smith & Jones, 1990). Tried changing commas, full stops etc but its still the same and more annoying thing :-s is that it's only for some references not all inserts.
Has anyone come across this ?

Have you tried editing the citation itself? Go to the name field and Type Author comma Initial. Then press enter and insert the next author comma initial and so on.

Change the output style to Author-date.

Styles can also be edited.

perhaps it is to do with how you actually entered the reference into Endnote? e.g. if you did not use fullstops between the authors initials ?

Thanks for your input guys. Found a way round it by not using inset citations option and going to endnote, selecting the citation and then using insert. Anyway hope that will work and that CWYW iinsert citation is corrupted or something.
