Another newbie here! I can't believe I am 9 months into my PhD and only just found this forum!

I was feeling low and frustrated today and googled 'phd student lack of motivation' and here I am!

I can't tell you how much better I feel after reading the threads here.. especially because all the phd students at my department seem to be smug and look like they have everything figured out :( I thought I was the only one with such fears and insecurities..

I am slowly coming to realise that a PhD is as much about learning to work with yourself, as it is about doing research...

Happy to say that I have found another means of procrastination :-x
Ok back to work now (after reading 2 more threads, i promise)
