Money after the funding runs out...

Sorry - that wasn't a funny reply!

When the going gets bad I'll be ebaying gifts from my exs ;o)

My evil side thinks that's funnier!

Gayathri, they wont normally fund write up as it a small fee to pay £350 for home and 650 for internationals. So for living costs you will have to find a way in my university, I doubt saving will be enough as rent etc can go up and if monthy earning is not there then it will be too tough to handle when you have to spend some extra money that was not planned.

Hey guys. I really loved your comments. Just received a letter that my application for funding has been unsuccessful which you can understand its a bit (just a bit) disappointingly! Reading your comments though made me re-consider my options. Going to play lotter tonight and keep searching for funding.

Cakegirl, I'd advise not claiming the dole. The amount of time involved with such a process is more trouble than it's worth. Any money you earn in the 15 hours is deducted from whatever allowance they give - so you would be signing-on for nothing but your NI contribution.

Argh! I didn't know that Miss Spacey...thanks for telling me that, Back to the budget sheet...

This is a major headache. My finding runs out in Oct but there is no hope of me submitting before Xmas (very optimistically). My husband can support me - but my grant pays my daughter's daycare fees and I wil need that time even more when the money runs out to pay for it!
