Maybe we could have a few delicate pastries?

P

I'll provide the napkins and doilies...

I

i'll bring home-made lemonade and a Victoria sponge...

F

Crumpets and butter anyone?

I

Is the forum repeating itself? I remember these dialogues from another thread.. but which one? Or is it just a simple forum deja vu?

A

is it time for elevenses yet? I'm a little peckish and could do with something chocolatey.

A

I've got my cuppa...

F

Bit late but it's still elevenish.

I

Darn it... i'm running late (lurvely bath tho) - i think i missed elevensis (grumblytummy). Never mind, it's nearly time for lunch.

A

brunch? does that fit between elevenses and lunch? or is it a horrible american bastardisation of elevenses?

A

I'd be up for a 11pm tea- or a night cap, if this is more your thing. Maybe a glass of sherry, then.

B

Just a shot in the dark! I am a retired teacher with a fund raising idea for the UN's World Food Programme (more details if you're interested). World Food Day is on October 16th - we are trying to work on the number 11 (it costs 11p to feed child for a day)and 'elevenses. Would you and members be prepared to pledge 11p to the WFP on that day during your elevenses?
