Hello. I have just started my PhD studies a few weeks ago, and would like to ask whether anyone has any experience in setting up a project plan. I have gone into a funded PhD, where the project has been 'defined' by the supervisors. There is however very little planned (about half a page worth of information available) and therefore I am quite free in where I want to take the research. I do not know much about the specific area, but I believe I can get the hang of it and I am really excited about the topic. My problem at the moment is what to put in the project plan (I was thinking of doing a Gantt chart or something similar). What level of detail should I give? I do not know much about how long the different things should take.

Could anyone perhaps give me any tips?
