Hi..
im prospective self funded PhD student.
i have a meeting with my supervisor soon..

I read alot here and on other forums about students suffer from their supervisors like the supervisor not really supervise the project in anyway or means, ignoring, no meeting for long time and ... etc. I know this is vary from supervisor to another due to their own way and policy in supervision..

Therefore i want to ask my prospective supervisor about his supervision policy, and i do not know how to phrase the question to him, is it ok to ask directly or should i phrase it in different way...

You can ask what does he expect from you and what you should expect from him.

I have found it useful to talk to other PhD students that they supervise to ascertain their supervision style, good luck :-)
