If you can wait until the Summer to go to London, why not stay in Uni of London halls. Try www.lsevacations.co.uk, as these are a lot more reasonably priced than hotels.
Consult a league table if you are worried about University reputation. However, make sure the course feels right for you.

Living in or around London will be expensive as an international student. Look at the Kingston web site as I'm sure they will estimate expenses. They probably would not have estimated for having a maid though!
There's quite a bit of choice at City Uni in London...

The MSc Information Systems course sounds quite targeted to your needs.
Hi Squiggles,
I went to see Happy-Go-Lucky last night. You're very right it was great to see someone so cheerful in a movie! It took a while until I understood why they put in the scene with the tramp under the bridge though. I guess Poppy gets grounded to earth when she meets people that don't have such a happy-go-lucky life.
There's an interesting course at Sheffield University...

Might be worth looking at the Open University (UK) for more flexible distance PhDs. http://www.open.ac.uk
Also get in touch with the British Council in India for further advice.
It's not really a great solution, but why not take the funded studentship at City for a while, and treat it as a trial. Then after 6 months, if its not working out, contact Oxford again and explain the situation. As its self-funded, they may still want to take you on.
PS I think City is pretty good for AI and CS in general.
Hi Sneeky,
Just for reassurance one friend of mine did his first degree in English, followed by a Masters in Politics. He was then given funding to do a PhD in Politics. He said it wasn't too hard catching-up with others, as the nature of his MA did not presume tremendous amounts of political theories etc. Make sure you do some background reading anyway.
Good luck!
Robotic research is performed at a number of unis in the UK. Try looking at the web sites for Essex, Birmingham, Manchester, Imperial College and Oxford University.
Good luck!
Hi Bedr, If you're interested on taking an English course, I recommend getting in touch with the British Council (as they are located in nearly every country). They can also give you advice on the British education system for universities.
Hi Rohi,
If the topic doesn't exist there, try widening your research area, or widening the scope of the search to universities near Copenhagen.
It may also be worth also emailing a Computer Science department in Copenhagen for further advice?
Good luck!
In case there are no students from those institutions on this forum, you might be better of trying "The Student Room" forums, and asking there. Just Google the name.
I don't know if its exactly the same at all universities. At my own uni, the pre-masters program was a three month academic English writing course for people that did not get a good enough mark in TOEFL or English exams. It might be worth checking with each specific university though.
Hi All, use Google to find some departments in UK/EU universities you like, and email the Professors with your ideas for further study. They will be able to let you know what the funding situation is like in their departments? Good luck!
