I will be honest with you, yes it really is that bad but not all the time. Sometimes its really good and sometimes its really crap, its like anything in life. No doubt some ppl will disagree with me and find it good all the time. For me the good bits make it worthwhile.

My gerbils and degu live at my mums in my old bedroom. The cats do sometimes mess with them through the bars but they aren't too bad with them. The degu lives in a big convert parrot cage thats taller than me so he can easily escape them.

One of my gerbils is called marmite!

Me and my boyfriend have two cats and one we are fostering for a cat rescue until she gets a home. From this weekend we are looking after my aunts cat while she is in new zealand for 3 months.

At my mums we have 8 cats including my holly who I got when I was 11. I can't imagine a house without cats!

I also have two gerbils and a degu.

I'm the same I worry about anything and everything and constantly think I'm not good enough.

Don't worry its normal. I had done hardly anything after 6 months. The first year is generally about learing techniques, understanding the literature and planning your work.

I'm scared of liquid nitrogen and phenol. I was frightened of ethidium bromide but I think I have conquered that fear.

My boyfriend got me some flowers, a card and some chocolates. So we have called a cease fire for the time being at least!

so what are people who haven't got a significant other doing today? I think I will probably be spending tonight alone
