it depends on the country on which you're staying. probably you wont have the same audience everywhere. So, understand your audeince first because humanity there is a censorship to consider.

in this case i would recommend that if you're unsure about your career then you should stop and search. dont puruse your career from the same institution as they will make you get on the Phd for just money. So search out some different institutions for your PHd

You can do that from Monash university where they provide a 12 months intensive course where students are provide extensive knowledge and expertise which they will need in the career.
