Quick question: When you put something in acronymns list that is before the main text of thesi say:
The Apple Code -The Apple Code (1992), Report of the Farmers on the Growing of Apples: The Code of Best Practice, Fruits Professional Publishing, London.
Would you then cite it first in full in the main text or is it ok that its first appearance in main text is as 'The Apple Code.' ?
am so tired of being ill... yesterday i managed a bit. but not as much as i'd have wanted. am so near finishing, yet so far. sometimes am so tempted to give it all up and sleep!!
but i have to try to be sensible and keep going. the antibiotics am taking are making me really ill and everything feels like such an effort.
positive thinking.. i keep saying try to think positively.. sigh. :-(
Oh, that really sucks! am sorry to hear that Algae. :-(
stop, get away from it for a few minutes and take a deep breath... and don't panic!
4 days is a long time: 3 days to discussion and overall abstract, 1 day: appendices and references. proofread as you go along.
trying to negotiate for Monday morning given he had said Wednesday.. either way, you can do it. just focus and shut everything out! am doing the same.
* hope you are not at an early stage of discussion. if you are.. find a way of keeping wednesday.... you can get a note from student's counselling allowing you more days if the pressure is affecting your health.
best of luck(up)
posted on other thread by mistake - obviously a bit disorientated. lol.
done proofreading and formatting!!!!! yipee!!!!
now a quick check of definitions and then tomorrow brush up those references and do final bibliography. never been more relieved! submitting to supervisor this week is looking feasible.
Lesson: you will get there eventually, if you don't give up. no matter what challenges come your way. press on. as long as you press on, you have a chance of getting there.
quick tea break before checking definitions!:-)
good luck!!! what is currently my thesis was written between march 2010 and june 2010. it's at this point i decided to sit down and finish this thesis. nothing i wrote before is in my thesis. you can do it since you have all the material!
just keep focussed and aim to work on it daily. set mini-deadlines, they help getting the work done even when you don't meet them.
you can do it. if i can, anybody can.
