I was suprised we had to pay for our CRB!
I need to really start looking into loans now cause it wont be long before we start!!
is it this week your going to the undergraduate open day?
I went to Swansea University and its fab!
I really enjoyed it and if they did the postgrad course im going on to i would have stayed there!
Thanks, will have a look at that
Haven't looked into anymore since i found out so im not sure!
I haven't heard of any others that start repayments after the course is finished which was a advantage of the CDL!
I've just found out im not eligable one anyway!
As i get a bursary from the GSCC which is a government body i cant apply.
I did a similar thing so i would think you would be fine.
I did an undergraduate Psychology degree but having worked in a community mental health team for 2 years i decided i wanted to continue working in this field and i am now going to do a Social Work MA this October.
My experience in my job was the main topic we talked about in my interview and was offered a place.
she said the uni pay it!!
i was so worried too, Im going to south africa for a month and was considering cancelling it cause i was so concerned about the cost.
Hi all, I've just had some good news.
I was talking to vanessa chiltern the admissions sec about enrolment as im due to go on holiday and i didn't want to miss it and we started talking about fees.
We dont have to contribute the reamining money once the GSCC have made their contribution after all. She said its a common mistake follwing the letter thats sent out!!
As a note, we can enrol online two weeks before term starts and they will send us a pack out late aug early september telling us how to do it.
Hi all,
Im starting my MA in Social work in October and the only funding i've found that i am eligable to is from the GSCC.
I am not eligable for a Career deveopment loand because of the bursuary from GSCC.
Does anyone know of any other funding i could access?
Thanks
yeah i think i will go, i will probably stay at home but i would like to have a look at the halls just in case i can afford to live in halls.
i really enjoyed living in the student village whilst an undergraduate!
I've just rang the postgraduate office about open days as i've had no reply to my email.
There is no open day for social work but there will be another general one, the date hasn't been confirmed yet though.
The lady also said they run campus tours on wed afternoons starting in May which we could book on, we will be able to book on these the middle of april.
when you get your final confirmation all the tuition fees are on there which is how i knew!
They are really expensive! the difference between the bursary and the fees at birmingham were only £250!
congratulations!!
i graduated in 2005 too so getting back into a uni routine will be strange!
im just wishing away the months now so its oct!
I wouldn't be worried about the no prompting, my interviewer hardly said anything at all and i got a place!
I felt that he was wanting more from me than i was giving but speaking to some people at work they said that the interviewer saying very little is often a way to ensure that all the interviews are conducted in the same way as to not give anyone an advantage over other candidates.
My cat ate my hamster too and its not nice!
I loved my cat and it is in their nature but i was very angry with my cat!!
