Argh..so friday will be big anxiety day, checking email constantly...
As to previosu post, for me it's ESRC or nothing. I'm on my first MPhil year, but unless I get funded with a +3 I'll probably give up...I've decided not to enter my 30s poorer than in my 20s...the sad state of research these days..
Oh, I will do - just not what you really want to do on your hols!! And I wanted it over and done with before I went away. Just knowing that the result is on a desk, unopened, with my future decided........[/quote]
But even if your Nom Con is away there should be someone available at the office, I would assume? So whenever results start to come out next week you could always contact them and ask them to open the damn letter!!!
The whole process is so depressing..such a long process, for a handful of places...
' nausea mixed with excitement followed by deflation every time the post arrived and nothing from them', feel exactly the same way, only with email! I can't stop checking it. hopefully the weekend'll take my mind off it and by next week we should know...thanks to all and good luck to those waiting too!
