What's the general procedure of entering, the first, second, final year, what's expected?

jouri and spacey, how did you cope with the whole sabotaging thing between students, postgrads and lecturers? how did you mentally cope with it?

did anyone try to go from a masters finished in august, and start a phd in september? did you feel like your having a mental breakdown from the stress? and with politics in the department?
