Passed with minor corrections on 10 June, was scared just before but relaxed a bit after external said he enjoyed reading my thesis. They said corrrections shouldn't take me more than a day, so I might just make it for graduation next month. Thanks everyone who contributed to the forum, esp to Pineapple's viva prep thread... that was very inspirational.

Congratulations to you all. Very inspiring!

I submitted my thesis on 10 May 2011 and my viva voce examination took place yesterday. Lasting just over 1 hour, I passed with minor corrections. I find the support on this site very incredible. I'll hang around here for the forseeable future to give whatever support I can to others.(up)

Congratulations Dr. Patseya. Could be of any assistance regards writing a PhD proposal? I am on the verge of writing, but do not know what to include in the piece.

Had the viva for my PhD in History on 30th June and passed with minor corrections! The viva lasted about two hours and was intense but actually a joy in many ways.

'Modelling lung and tissue gas transfer using a membrane oxygenator circuit' . Viva passed with minor corrections on 6th July 2011. It was an intensive two hour viva concentrating mostly on lung diffusion versus the membrane oxygenator rather than the following 'published' experimental work using the circuit. I have much gratitude for the support I have received from the forum members - outstanding!
