I got a situation here, so I failed an MSc because I got one module (20 credits) mark below pass and compensatable fail level (<40). However, I passed my dissertation (80 credits). So in total I only admitted for 160 credits and entitled for PGDip. It's been a hard year for me because the course was a new field/subject for me.

Now as I have no options other than accepting my PGDip, I need an advice of what should I do next. FYI, I currently do not have a plan to do Phd, I am more into working. I need to know if PGDip is acknowledged and admitted by companies, international organisations and/or other job providers in the world. I searched about PGDip in the internet and I found various perspective of it. Some says that PGDip is a failure of MSc (which is true in my case) and will not be seen as something qualified, which may be true as well because never have I found any job requirements specifically asking for a "PGDip". On the other hand, some says that PGDip is useful because of its vocational purposes. I'm not sure how should I appraise my PGDip, it's not even a degree after all.

When job eligibility asking for "Masters degree or it's equivalent", would PGDip fit that criterion?
Should I do another masters or PGDip is enough? I would greatly appreciate your advise. Thanks.

A PGDip is not equivalent to a MSc. If it was me I would still apply though because you are only missing the criterion slightly. I think companies are often more concerned about experience than qualifications.

Apply anyway. Experience is what counts.
