A 'How to survive your PhD' MOOC starts today on EdX. It is run by the same person who created the Thesis Whisperer website. Check it out - It looks quite interesting:

Was thinking about it, but there's no app for it.. and I don't want to do it via my work PC.

Is there? I couldn't see it for ipad when I looked the other day and I looked on a forum and they said it was still in development stages, but I will check again then

Ah right. You can download it for the iPad as an iPhone app. You can only use it vertically since it's meant to be used on an iPhone :)
