being a postdoc for a long time

K

Dear All
I completed my Ph.D. in 2005 without no first author papers. Due to this reason I could not find a postdoc position for 5 years after that. I did get a postdoc in 2010 and worked for 4 years but got just one first author paper in a very decent journal. Now I find myself stuck in my career.
Can I get an academic postdoc in a good lab ? I do get job offers but from not so good labs, with the PIs themselves not publishing very well. How am I get successful in life ? Is there a way out of this situation ?

Without publications, getting a good job in a lab is going to be very difficult. Can you write some review papers? Do some experiments on the side? Get a lot of conference papers?

What about just taking a job in any lab?
