PhD with no publications

S

Iam intending to apply for a PhD but most are asking for previous publications i have made and i don't have any. The only research experience i have is with my dissertation i did in my undergraduate. I have a Masters but it was mainly by coursework / taught.

Any advice i get on this.??

Most PhD applicants don't have publications; it's just there in case you do. Just leave the box blank and apply.

F

I didn't have any and I got in without problems.

I

Most like me dont have publications prior entry. But its a bonus if competition for places are tight

P

anyone pursuing a phd in law? it seems not many are pursuing phd in law.

T

Is it usual to apply for a PhD in Law? What are your intentions afterwards?

@Treeoflife, I am currently working in India as an Assistant Professor and I am interested in pursuing Phd from Newzealand! Phd is a requisite in my profession.

I guess working in academia it's required, but if someone is practising law it's a different kind of doctorate required maybe?
