Great website!!!

G

I started looking for a phd in 2002 and used this site, however I decided to do my masters and have started looking again!

I thought it strange that some supervisors was advertising the same projects up to 2 years later! I applied to one and he got back to me saying that he had no studentship this year. Another had left the advertised univesity a year before.

So this poses the question "do you ever update this website????"

G

Very good observation. Sometimes most websites credibility should be put to serious doubt. Nice one oo!!!

Universities pay annually for spaces on FindAPhD for their academics. Password access allows the supervisors to update their projects and remove them if they do not wish to receive speculative applications. Recent changes to the site mean that projects disappear from the public area of the site once the application date has passed.

At any point during the working day somebody is logged in to FindAPhD and editing their entry. Remember to look at the project status flags which indicate whether funding may be available for projects or whether the suppervisor is only looking for self funded students.

Thats so true, I have had the same problem! I think its the FindAPHD team's responibility to ensure that their website is as up to date as possible, not leaving it up to the accademics.
