Do you think we should have an 'introduce yourself' thread?

Hi, no doubt ProcrastiPro would have been my real name had my mother known me better at the time...I'm doing a history PhD and getting uncomfortably close to the 3-year mark. Afraid I'm more of a lurker at heart than a poster, really.

Cake, trout, salmon...it's all good.

Hello. My name is Bobby (sort of), I'm 24 and in the first year of a Cognitive Neuroscience PhD in London. Oh, and I do live slap bang in the middle of this stinky city. Oooh, does any one else feel like they should end their paragraph with "and I'm an alcoholic...". To be fair, having been in formal higher education for a potential seven years probably does qualify me...

I was flicking through this post thinking about how I was going to reply on it the other day but hadn't got round to it. Then I found a post by me! Are memory problems linked to PhDs?!

hie you all!
Am Tsipat, 31 just started year 3. My Phd concerns INGOs, IGOs and Child poverty in sub Saharan Africa - loads of social justice, politics and social policy.

hey all, my research is in indian policing during British rule- i'm looking at the impact of British forms of policing (changes that were introduced etc) upon traditional indian forms of policing.

I'm 27, started my phd at 23 but took 2 years out and am now returning. I don't know if a phd is now possible but i'm going to try my best, even for an Mphil.

Other interesting info about myself- ummm, worry alot ( as you probably guessed), like going to gym, doing yoga, going for long walks and......think that's it really
