Assume that someone is not EU neither US citizen but he got PHD in European country and got a post doc position in UK or US. Does one need to have a recent IELTS/TOEFL certificate? Could you, please, share your experience.

Hi! I am currently doing my phd in Sweden. I am not from EU, so I need visa to enter UK.
One professor, close friend of my supervisor, invited me to UK for a couple of weeks to share some knowledge and experience.

I am totally confused about the visa I should apply for. Should I apply for Academic visiror or Business visitor?
