Automation Masters confusion!!

W

Hi guys! I will try to keep it short. Well, I just finished my undergraduate degree at University of Nottingham. I am currently working at a firm under a probation period. I am confused with two things: as to when and where to pursue my masters degree.

Qualifications:

BEng(Hons.) in Electronics and Computer Engineering. British degree second upper: 68% which is equivalent to 3.64/4 according to http://www.wes.org/contact.asp

GRE: 297. Quant: 154, Verbal: 143 and AWA: 4

TOEFL: 102

Confusion:

I am really passionate about doing a masters degree in the field of Automation and Control Engineering but I am not sure which universities to apply for. When I spoke to a couple of seniors I was told Germany and Canada are the best for Automation. However, Germany does not have too many English taught courses in this field. In Canada, some universities do not accept the 3 year UK degree. I am really confused where to apply. Please help me shortlist a few countries/universities which are reputable in this field and that will suit my profile.

Also, I am working for the time being which gives me an option of when to pursue masters. My plan was to work under the probation period for now which is for three months after which they will decide to hire or reject me. In the case of reject, I can apply for masters for 2015 spring intake in the US. If the company hire's me then I am planning on working for a year or two then do a one year a master degree program somewhere in the UK. What is your opinion on this ? Would I be able to differ my offer to fall intake if I do get accepted for spring ?

Thank you so much for your help in advance! Looking forward to some positive guidance Smile

Hello:

I want too to study a master degree in Automation but there are no too many universities offering this type of masters. I have heard something about the universities of Applied Sciences.

Best regards
