Mini coolers: are they any good?

J

Has anyone got one of those mini-fridges? My fridge is crap (keeps freezing stuff) and I can't afford a new full-size one so I thought about getting a cooler. Do they actually work (and how much electric do they use)?

H

Well they are quite expensive anyway, for what you get.

Better off getting a new (second hand) fridge...

J

Woolworths have some for 15-30 quid, but they come with either a Playboy or a girlie pink motif; not sure I want that in my flat.

Will get a proper one eventually, just not before bloody expensive Christmas.

I've been thinking of this too, as our freezer doesnt actually freeze things. But worried the minicooler might look a bit crap in my room which is more medieval - 1930s style

S

medieval - 1930s style?

How does that work???

D

Well actually its more Roman to 1930s. Its a bit odd, but it definately has character

J

I'm not too worried about looks cos I'm getting fed up with milk ice-lollies and frozen eggs for breakfast. I'm more bothered about whether it will eat all my electricity, now I have to pay the bills

A

I don't think they are renowned for their efficiency
