Feeling Low

B

Hi

This is my first time here but I saw that people can get some help here. I am in my second year of PhD. I have recently been feeling very low. I have moved to different country for my PhD, so I miss my home. I got some very good results in first few months of my PhD. My supervisor was very happy then. But now I am kind of stuck and do not know how to move forward. There are two supervisors for my PhD and they have different views. I cannot decide what to do and it seems my supervisor is getting annoyed and thinks that I have been sitting on the data for months now. I dont know what to do?
I am lost. :'(

If your supervisors disagree, just do what you think is right (or if you don't know or care, just pick one route and follow that, maybe the one that will incur the least resistance from the supervisors). Part of the PhD is that you have make these decisions autonomously - your supervisors are there to guide you, not instruct you. They probably don't care too much about what you do, as long as you do something.
