Does anyone know a way of finding out abbreviations for obscure journals? I've tried databases on the internet but the journals that I'm interested in seem to be either too obscure or old to make it onto these lists.

This is an obscure way of doing it, but if you go into EndNote (I'm guessing it's probably the same for RefManager) and search for the article, the journal name is given in its abbreviated form, if such a form exists.
