How long do people have to know you before they can give you a reference? Also should you enclose your proposal with a reference request form?

For your word doc your could copy it and make a new one qwith a diff name and then use that.

Part of me wants just to stick to one person but I feel I may drop my basket of eggs and go hungry.

and how much work do they usually involve? I really want to have that as a method of funding my PhD and hopefully complete my PhD over 4 years (I'm willing to work ltos of hours)

Can academics apply for them and ask to include a studentships? Are they separate from postgraduate burasies?

The research grant academics apply for on students behalfs so can I apply to that one and my university quota?

So can I apply for both separately as the studentship from the quota provides a ssest abount but the other one doesn'tlike it covers travel, fieldbwork and if you have children or a disability maybe those expenses or part of.

For the ESRC and EPSRC or are they two different things?

Is it hard to get money from research councils?
