Have you tried contacting the authors?
I have done it a few times asking for papers and they have always been very helpful

I am advised by my supervisor to use numbers, e.g. several participants (25 out of 45) said that.....

OK! I'll try to explain....

I want to give an example of relevant literature for something. So I am writing "Subject X has been studied a lot internationally (e.g. Smith 2000, 2001, 2003 in the UK, Snow 2012 in Australia and Red 2012 in the US)"

Is this correct( I am refering to the references in the parenthesis) or I should put each date in a separate parenthesis?

(Does that make any sense????)
(Sorry I am not a native speaker of English) :)

Now i am doing the final amendments before i submit my thesis.
I' m in my 7th year of studying, but i could have finished earlier if i tried. I could not put any more work on my phd as i am studying in th uk, living and working in Greece in a job completely different than my phd and my first language is not English........

Since I started my PhD I have been working full time, in another country, my first language is not the language of my PhD, I work in a completely different field than my research, my earlier studies (bachelor, MA and MBA) are not even close to the area of my reserach.... (so many difficulties, I know)
Now I am finishing my write-up and hopefully I will submit by October or by Christmas the very latest. Even though I still have time to fiunish off, I am tired and bored of my theisis....

I will not tell you it is an easy task. You have to work hard, make a schedule and follow it.
I am at work every morning until 2pm, then I go to the gym for an hour, then it is lunch, shower and study till 9 or 10pm.
I have never studied over the weekends, as I need time off.

It is difficult but it is doable!!!!!

It is a difficult situation, but I would suggest just one thing: Get advise from your supervisor and start working on your report!

Have you talked to your sup? What is his/her view about the failed transfer report? Have you got any feedback from the committee? Have you discussed it with your sup?
Do have this discussion and then make a list of all the amendments that need to be addressed and work through them one by one.

Good luck!
