Good luck with the viva Brian!

B

I caught Brian chatting about his PhD a few weeks ago on BBC Breakfast News. He said although he has lots of honorary doctorates, he wanted to get a 'proper' PhD.

'Respect' and 'big up' for Brian (and yes, good luck to).

S

Oooh - good luck! (luck) Don't you just love the sentence "a number of academics will question him about his work before any doctorate is awarded"

J

He he...good for him.

Patrick Moore is the man, isn't he? Try this link - very very funny (needs sound though):

What was that smiley? (crossed)

T

Does it says he's going to submit within two weeks? And yet he's still going out to the Canary Islands to do some last minute data collection? Tut tut Brian...

I bet he wouldn't be rushing it if he'd done a GANTT diagram like we all have to do

O

Just in the packing process for holiday myself but had to come back here quickly to say: LOL@Coastman. His GANTT diagram must look funny - with a time gap from 1971 to 2007!

lol coastman it must be a very long roll of paper.

Have a nice holiday o.stoll. Where are you off to?

O

Thanks 404. Off to mainland Europe, Switzerland, Italy, and wherever my bicycle and/or budget takes me. I got four full weeks time for this trip so enough time to forget about the "pleasures" of everyday job life.

S

hey o.stoll, check out www.veloland.ch for really good cycling guides for Switzerland.

Enjoy!

S

Brian's submitting on Friday...

Oh. Today?

D

Only 48000 words? And done in only a year?
I know its a continuation from work he started some years ago but seems a little suspect to me
