Hi guys, so I had an interview with potential PI who I want to work in his lab for PhD. We had a fruitful discussion on skype and even discussed potential projects. He then told me he needs to get references from my CV referees before we discuss further. Its been over a week now. Do you think I should send him a gentle reminder. ( He hardly reply mails, so calling could be the option). What's your opinion guys?

I would give it a couple of weeks at least. It might take a while for him to get the references.
