I have graduated in medical microbiology and am going on to do a masters, after which I want to find a PhD in epidemiology. Not having done much epidemiology in the past I was wondering how much of epidemiology is lab based? is it possible to find PhD's dealing with the data analysis side of infectious disease epidemiology rather than involving a lot of lab work??

At the London School of Hygine and Tropical Diseases quite a lot of their research is computer based.
