I am looking for a PhD in mechanical Engineering (from UK/EU/Canada) but till now i have seen very less PhD offers in mechanical and thousands in biology and life sciences. Can any body guide me that are PhD in mechanical less or its the effect of global recession or I am looking at wrong time. Will PhD offer will come after January also. Have I chosen less popular topic for PhD (Heat transfer, Thermal systems, Hybrid Electric Vehicle, Simulation etc...)?
