How to change to postgraduate Architecture from first degree in Computer Science

P

I am a final year student doing a BSc Computer Science. I will be completing my degree in less than 4 months and so I am checking for masters courses right now. But this is a difficult task for me since I want to change my field from Computer Science to some other architecture/design/planning related course. This is because I dislike computing and find it extremely uninteresting and an unsuitable career path for me.

As I searched for masters courses I found that it is impossible to do a MSc in Architecture without having a 1st degree in the same field.

Could you pleas give me advice on what other courses I could do or paths I could follow, to qualify for a architecture/design related masters, WITHOUT having to spend for a bachelors in architecture, as it is very costly and time consuming?

I have two bachelors, one in architecture and one in engineering as I changed my field from architecture to engineering. I think it's impossible to switch to architecture as they have a completely different curriculum. You need the basics for a masters.
Do you completely dislike software development? There are opportunities in computational design. It would be very interesting to work at the interface between computing and design.

I did an undergraduate in Comp Sci myself and found it pretty boring. Then I did just a straight comp sci MSc, which was horrendously boring. I quit the course because I just didn't see the point of me doing it, it was not what I wanted to do with my life.

Fortunately, I then came across a MSc in a specialised field of comp sci that really did interest me. So I went for that course, graduated, and I'm currently writing up my thesis for PhD in the same field.

I guess the moral of the story is that computer science is a VAST field and you should try and look all around it first to see if there is anything that might interest you... you never know :)

I too considered drifting to the interface between computing and design. It was suggested to me by others as well. However I thought this will have a major involvement of programming (which I dislike and find quite boring in my current field). So I decided to not consider that option as well.
Do you have any area in specific or may be an example course you could suggest as an example of a mix between computing and design?
Thanks for you reply :)

Thanks for your reply Pink_numbers! I have been very frustrated and confused about my MSc course selection since I graduate in few months and have to apply soon if I want to get into a UK university by September/October. Your post actually made me feel a little better, knowing that you have been through the exact same experience with computer science :)

I will definitely take your advice and search for more interesting courses in computer science. In the mean time, if you don't mind could you please tell me the course and field which interested you?

Thanks again!

Have you looked in to Human Computer Interaction? HCI usually requires minimal, if any, programming. or web design?
