Hi I am new to this site and hoping for some advice/ views? I am currently applying do complete a funded PhD in Social Policy with an ambition to move into academia specialising in social enterprises, charities, third sector etc. I have 12 years senior leadership experience within this area, do you think a PhD would enhance my career opportunities if academia isn't an open route.
Are there jobs out there within academia or would this be a waste of time with these ambitions?
