Hi, for the beginners are there any pdfs/ ebooks reg. how to start a phd, research methodologies, how to write papers etc. Basically it should deal with a PhD student's life.

I would look on amazon Murali, they usually have a range of books and you can check the reviews there. If you search this forum you may find recommendations as well, I'm afraid I haven't used any so can't offer more advice than that.
