Hi there is anyone starting their PHD/Masters in social sciences in October? Im looking for study partners and new colleagues to share tips with. I am in the Richmond area and will be going to Surrey.

I'm an old hand who passed quite a while ago (came back on here as I thought a mate was was going to apply for a PhD and I was looking for info to help him - he's not to take a PhD now). All I can really do is offer these two links.

Thanks Ian, Ill be checking out the blog! Lots of things to organise over the summer, there seem to be so many books about doing your phd and I've read some, but they are all very vague or repetaive some of them and don't actually tell me what you will be doing in detail during your days. i might just write my own!
