Running out of ways to start sentences...

I

When you are writing and you have to start a new sentence carrying on from the previous one, I find it hard to think of new ways to start :-(

I have used "In this respect", "to this end", "In this regard" about 100000 times! Does anyone have a new exciting way of doing this?

yeah, I have the thesaurus open at all times.

Furthermore,
Moreover
Consequently
Accordingly,
Therefore
However

I use these far too much though!

I

Furthermore & Moreover! How could I have forgotten! You have made my day :-)

It follows that...

Although my sup has told me off for using this one as a quick way of joining two sentences which don't follow one another at all ;-)

Lol, I have the same problem and use the same sentence starters :-) I end up reading back through to find which I'd used most in the previous few pages. The trouble is that there are only so many words in the English language and we end up having to use all of this kind :-) 'Indeed' is another of mine... hate it though, its one that I use in dire emergencies ;-)

Thanks for sharing! This looks great!! Yeah it's a pain trying to not to over-use certain phrases. Aside from the obvious "also" and "moreover", I overuse "It must be noted", "It must be pointed out" too...
