When to send email to potential postdoc PI?

Hi friends,

I was wondering what is the best time to send unsolicited application to professors for a postdoc inquiry....during the week, friday, monday, or weekend?

Good question! I would say a Tuesday or Wednesday because then people will have recovered from the weekend, organised themselves for the week ahead, and not be ready to switch out of working mode yet.

Good point.
Just want to add that, the call may be better between 8-10am, to avoid the lectures or meetings and early enough to make a good impression :D

Call them in the morning or the afternoon, any day of the week. If they are busy, ask them when is a good time to call back. Honestly.
