I applied to a studentship fully funded and I wonder how long does it take to heat whether you have an interview or not? Is it usually within a month of the application deadline?

It can take anything from a few days to a few months. You usually hear after the application deadline.

The deadline was 25th July should I hear by the end of august whether I have an interview or not?

I would expect you would hear a lot sooner than that. Give it a couple of weeks and then email them. If it is a very competitive position, it just may be that there are so many applicants that they only contact the ones selected for interview.
