Its just that I'm having 'some issues' on a Webcore based browser*. Specifically, the grey 'OK' box won't disappear for me. I have to navigate away from the page and then back.

* Safari 3.1.2

Thank you for this quality feedback. I've now fixed this problem, many thanks, Pete (up)

Are you sure you've fixed this? I'm still waiting upwards of 15 seconds for this grey OK box to disappear on submitting a post (if at all).

Do remember that this is non-taxable though so in effect it translates to a salary of 12.5 + 25% (for tax NI) £15625 which is much more than minimum wage!

In terms of hours per week worked (some people work 60+ hours and take no holidays) I would hazard a guess that it is in fact actually less than the minimum wage.

A certain BBC presenter used to eat 'Fruit and Nut' on the day of races, but he took (lots of) drugs. What do they say in sports circles. The ones that say they don't take them, take them the most. Lets not get naive here folks. It ain't possible to run that fast on Branflakes. In my sport, people used to take Anabolic Steroids (typically Nandrolne or Dianabol) to help them hit the ball further, then Beta Blockers to help them knock it into the hole. Mr. Bolt's on something. He's just ahead of the game (testing wise).

Edit: I should add I'm not trying to put anyone down. Please, believe what you like. I'm just (literally) amazed that anyone thinks there's a clean Olympic athlete out there.

Re the blue box business....

1. Write a post.
2. Attempt to edit something in the middle (move the cursur to the middle of a sentence).
3. Ah it did it here (again), while I was attempting to edit the word cursor. Would you like a screenshot?

I've started to get a few 'error screens'. Specifically, Server and compilation errors. You're aware hopefully.

I quite fancy Brad Pitts body (not in a homosexual sense), but as a transplant. I would imagine a big ask, and you're probably a bit busy anyway.

Another bug. When I'm writing a post and want to amend a word, on occasions it won't let me. Sometimes I can move the cursor back. Other times I get this big blue rectangle.

Yes it is hard work, BUT its part of the process. You're talking about wanting to undertake a research degree but are baulking at doing a bit of research. I'm not being rude, but its a bit of a contradiction. You may want to think about that.

I should clarify. I think he's the better athlete. I also think everyone in that final is on performance enhancing drugs. Fullstop. In my (supposedly clean) sport I know of at least one 'major' champion that uses anabolic steroids to enhance his performance. Sad really, but with the monies involved inevitable.

I would personally think somewhere in year 3. When you have a better grasp of your subject, what you know better what you actually might enjoy doing, and whether doing a PhD is actually achievable (ability wise).
