Geez...how difficult is it to write ANY as compared to NE. Very odd.

To be honest I think its good to have someone like Jouri on here, adding the 'other side of the coin'. For example, I tend to LOL when I read things like 'if you keep trying you'll get there" and the like from the more 'optimistic' members of the forum (if only it were that easy). Jouri provides some much needed realism in this respect, and accordingly I hope will keep posting.

I would imagine much if this can be found via Google. Unless you'd like me to look for you?

phoenix6254...a couple of questions:

1. Are you funded and if so how much?
2. Does your other half intend to work? Indeed, is said person allowed to (i.e. are they an EU citizen)?

I don't know about cynical...I would have thought practical. I'm just wondering how 2 kids plus a partner (that isn't working?) and another adult divides into a student bursary in today's UK. I would have thought along with everything else (on your list), it involved some degree of turning water into wine.

Yes, I was just wondering how it was going to work as an idea financially - with two children.

"...he asked me to detail my research proposal".

Before you start doing 4-5000 words find out whether what he wants is the above (the long version), or the short version. In my experience, when submitting a proposal for consideration all most potential supervisors / research coordinators want is (quite literally) a couple of side of A4.

If your question is 'help me find one' that's not what the forum does.

Maybe, maybe not. 'Terrible' undergrad grades aren't a plus, lets put it that way. Anyway, after looking at the Masters Forum its a mute question I'd imagine.

To be (brutally) honest I think the 'terrible grades' bit may affect your chances of 'full funding'. Its a competitive field (I'm told), and that will probably stand against you. Don't see any point dressing it up .

I can't see what's rude about asking someone to stop posting multiple versions of the same question. For goodness sake, even the word 'please' was mentioned. You're miles off base Kollantai.
