This is what i am getting from my proposed supervisor: 'Accepted proposal pending funding'
Hey Macky, what does 'proposal has been accepted, but funding has not been decided upon' means? Does it mean that there will be a chance that there will be no funding or the amount of funding has not been decided etc. Thanks
Cheers
I am just wondering what does 'Accepted proposal pending funding' supposed to means?
I hope someone can tell me how long does it takes for fund of a project being received by the project leader from the time a proposal has been accepted until the moment the fund is received? Thanks ppl.

Hey all,
I just wanted to know if you guy were to be in the situation where you have been offered a studentship in research area A but somehow deep down you know it is now what you really want to do. What will you guys do? Accept the offer and learn to like the area? Hope to be offered another studentship which no one knows when it will be coming. Any other suggestions?
Cheers
Hey there, i am just wondering if someone study in a particular field (chemical engineering) and later work in another area (management, sales, anything not related to study field etc). If he/she decides to further their studies (PhD) in the near future, will their work experience be of any help/advantage? Will supervisor still consider this kind of applicants? Will there be any disadvantages in application for studentships/ scholarships? And lastly, is it possible for someone to work too long in other field that it is not possible for them to be accepted for postgraduate studies? Cheers.
Good day. I am just wondering what do prospective supervisor sees before calling someone for PhD studentship interview? Results? Work experience? etc. What would you do to increase your chance of getting an interview and ultimately obtaining a PhD position. Cheers
