Well...you are cordially invited to my house for billy style fajitahs! I make two...one with beef steak, and lots of onion, and peppers and a salsa made with radishes and toms. Or turkey fajitahs with spring onions and red pepper and lots of spices this one is served with mango chutney. All served with wraps, avacado, lettace and sour cream! Not true mexican but damn tasty!
Although...might have a logistical problem as i know you are up in the north and i am down south!

hmm....so basically the mods get to choose if we are deserving enough of another star!

Just wrote a long reply and it was deleted......
There is someone in my dept doing a intercalated PhD (which is when you go to your undergrad degree, then do a PhD and then go back and finish medical school...in effect you end up with PhD and MD) but she had to do a MSc first...as far as I am concerned a PhD and MD are equal... it think if anyone thinks that they can complete a PhD in two years they're mad.

I think it dependent on the scope of the project and if there is enough scope in the project to continue up to PhD level. At PhD level you need to make some original contribution to research, be that by creating something new, or applying something exisiting in a different way (there are loads of ways to make an original contriution). This is something that your friend should really discuss with her current/potential supervisors, as they may have some ideas on where to take the project. The other thing to consider is how challenging the project is and whether staying at the same institute is just an easy option? A PhD is three years hard work and has to be at the right uni and it needs to be the right project. Sometimes staying at your current uni is easy, but your friend may benefit from changing uni's in the long run. Hope this is of some help!
