Wow, there haven't been many takers on this thread!
I'm happy because I have just submitted a full draft of my thesis to my supervisor after working so hard all year to make the deadline I set myself. And I am going on holiday on Tuesday!
I have just done mine manually for now (also with no page numbers). The contents page is looking a bit of a state to be honest but for now will just be a guide for my sup as he reads through the draft of the full thing.
Anyway, I have now submitted my full draft! I still have some job applications to do but think I will tackle them tomorrow.
My discussion is now done. (up) It is quite short, but I have included some discussion through the thesis and this seems to be the trend in my research area so I'll see what my sup says. And part of me just really can't be bothered any more.
My next goal is to put together a contents page.
Fortunately I am home alone this weekend so I have no distractions!
I have now sorted out my data chapter. Hurray! My next goal is to edit my discussion chapter.
Today I am hoping to get my full draft finished. I may need to work on it tomorrow too but I really want to try and get it done!
My first goal is to sort out my data chapter.
My introduction is now in the 'full draft' file.
My goal for the rest of the day is to start drafting out a job application.
What's up Sneaks?
I have now padded out the section I was working on. I need to have one or two more goes at it as it's pretty drafty at the moment. I am going to move on now though and my next goal is to get my introduction thesis ready.
What Delta said. It's an important week for you and as you say, you want to know that you have made the most of it. I'm sure your girlfriend and flatmates will have forgotten all about it in a week or two.
I have to have a full draft written for my supervisor within the next few days and feel a bit guilty because my friend was hoping to meet up with me over the weekend but I am going to have to work. I'd go mad if I let myself dwell on it though. We have enough on our plate over these last few months of write-up as it is!
Nauturalme, I think it helps to set aside times just for writing and times just for reading. So then you can just get on with your writing and worry about the other literature later without being distracted.
Today I am tackling the one data chapter which is in a bit of a state. My first goal is to redraft and pad out the section I decided to add.
I studied at Manchester for a while so have come across this before. I'd forgotten about it though and now happens to be a perfect time for me to be reminded. Thanks!
My method and literature chapters are now in the 'full draft' file. Just a few bits on my intro, discussion and one of my data chapters to go. (up)
My goal for the rest of the day is to finish a job application.
My least favourite chapter is now thesis ready. :-) I'm still not entirely happy with it but it'll do for now, until I've had some more feedback from my sup.
My next goal is to put a table into my methods chapter and then to save that in my 'full draft' file!
Sorry I can't offer any advice about smart phones! I'm currently using a battered old Ericsson which is held together with cellotape.
Well I didn't manage to finish my literature review yesterday and will have to do it later. My first goal which will take most of the day is to tackle my least favourite data chapter and see if I can get it thesis ready.
Congratulations, well done!
My 2 data chapters are now ready to be included in my full draft. Hurray.
My next goal is to add a couple more papers to my literature review, which will then be thesis ready.
