What people plan to do and what they will actually do could be very different! I plan to get a wonderful lectureship teaching my specialism in the university of my choice with a massive salary and lots of funding to do more research. But I will probably end up temping as a secretary - something I hoped I had put behind me after finishing my masters! (Nothing wrong with being a secretary per se but not want I want to do).

I tried, but 'it' knew. Sorry Tricky, it's dreadfully disrespectful of me to even think of skewing your results.:p

It told me that someone was trying to corrupt my data!!

Funny thing is.. When I first decided to do a Phd I had a clear view of what I wanted to do.. Now I am not sure at all!

I probably sound like a real saddo, but my ultimate fantasy right now is to have a whole month where I can do anything or absolutely nothing, as long as it's not connected to my PhD...

I want to watch cr*p on TV without overwhelming feelings of guilt that I'm wasting precious writing up time.

I think I'd like to do this job after PhD, even though it is not even remotely close to my subject area. It sounds like a happy title. And the location.... :-)
