I graduated a couple of years age with a 2:2 in microbiology. Now im working in a hospital lab and have just finished an MSc in biomedical science. I would like to do a PhD, do i stand a good chance?

You do fit the eligibility criteria, but may find it more difficult than somebody with a better first degree. Having said that your lab experience should be a bonus. If you want to start this year, then things may not be so easy, but there are still studentships available.
